- 1 pound butter, melted (10 2/3 Tbsp)
- 1 1/2 C sugar (1/2 C)
- 2 C brown sugar (2/3 C)
- 3 eggs (1)
- 2 Tbsp. vanilla (2 tsp)
- 1 1/2 tsp. soda (1/2 tsp)
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt (1/2 tsp)
- 5 1/2 C flour (1 2/3 C plus 1/6 C)
- 6 C (I usually do about 2 C) chocolate chips (3 C)
- 2 C nuts (optional)
Combine butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. In separate bowl, combine dry. Mix together. Add chips and nuts. Bake at 375 for 10 min.
Note: recipe is better if dough is left in fridge 24 hours prior to baking.
Makes about 50 cookies if using a #24 scoop
