- 1 1/2 C flour
- 1/2 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 2-3 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 1/2 C buttermilk (add 3 tsp. –3 Tbsp. vinegar to 1 1/2 C milk)
- 3 Tbsp. oil
- 2 egg whites, beaten
Combine in order given, folding in the beaten egg whites and bake.
Optional add ons:
- Honeycomb butter: chop 1/2 cup honeycomb candy and mix with 1 stick butter, 1/4 tsp salt, 1 tbsp honey in food processor until smooth.
