Mango Salsa

  • 3 cups mango finely diced
  • 1/3 cup red onion minced
  • 1 jalapeno seeds and ribs removed, then minced
  • 1/2 cup cilantro leaves chopped
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • salt to taste

1. Place the mango, red onion, jalapeno, and cilantro in a bowl.

2. Stir in the lime juice and salt.

3. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate for later use.

The beauty of making mango salsa is that it’s totally customizable. If you want a milder salsa, remove the seeds from the jalapeño. If you prefer a sweeter salsa, add a bit of honey or brown sugar. You can also add other ingredients to the mix such as diced tomatoes, bell peppers, or even avocado. Experiment with different flavors until you find a combination that you love.
