- 3 C flour
- 1 1/2 C warm water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- Vegetable oil
Add the flour to a large mixing bowl. In a separate bowl, combine the salt, sugar, two tablespoons of vegetable oil and one cup of water. Mix until the salt and sugar dissolve.
Pour the liquid mixture into the flour bowl. Gradually add the remaining water while you mix for about five minutes to form the dough.
Move the dough to a floured surface and knead it for about 10 minutes until it’s smooth and stretchy. If it feels too sticky, add more flour. Always keep the dough at room temperature.
Put the dough back into the bowl and let it rise for 30-45 minutes. After the dough rises, divide it into 10 balls.
Place one of the balls on a floured surface. Use a rolling pin to roll the ball out into a flat circle about a quarter inch in thickness and then lightly brush it with vegetable oil.
Add vegetable oil to a pan on medium heat. Place the dough on the pan and fry each side for about 3 minutes.
Repeat steps five and six for remaining balls of dough.
